Apprenticeships, Trades, and Career Training
Apprenticeships & Trades
Idaho offers more than 100 apprenticeship opportunities, and employers are ready to help you launch your career.
An apprenticeship combines on-the-job training with job-related instruction. Apprentices develop specific skills necessary to perform the job, gain experience, and earn a nationally recognized certificate or credential. Average wages for apprentices start at $15 per hour (Source: ID Department of Labor).
Most apprenticeships are designed for high school graduates; however, employers also offer opportunities to high school students before graduation.
Whether you’re seeking an office job, something outdoors, in a city, or somewhere in rural Idaho, there’s an apprenticeship opportunity waiting for you. Learn more here.
