Welcome to Idaho Virtual Academy

Dear Parents, Students, and Future IDVA Families,

Welcome to Idaho Virtual Academy (IDVA), where education is personal, flexible, and designed to help every student thrive.

For more than two decades, IDVA has partnered with families across Idaho to provide a high-quality public education that meets students where they are and helps them reach where they want to be. Whether your child is seeking academic challenge, a flexible learning environment, additional support, or a different path to success, IDVA offers an educational experience built around individual needs, strengths, and goals.

IDVA proudly serves students in grades K–12 throughout the state. Our dedicated, Idaho-certified teachers work closely with students and families to create meaningful learning experiences, foster strong relationships, and ensure every student feels connected, supported, and empowered.

At IDVA, learning extends beyond daily lessons. Students have opportunities to engage with classmates through esports, school outings, community events, graduation ceremonies, and K12 Zone, an interactive virtual world where students can safely connect, participate in activities, and build friendships with peers from across Idaho and the nation. We know that a strong sense of belonging contributes to student success, and we are committed to creating opportunities for meaningful engagement throughout the school year.

Our school combines innovative online learning with the support and accountability students need to achieve their goals. Families receive the curriculum, instructional materials, and technology necessary for participation, while students benefit from personalized instruction, intervention support, advanced learning opportunities, special education services, college and career readiness programs, and multiple pathways to graduation, including our alternative high school program designed to support students who benefit from greater flexibility, individualized attention, and credit recovery opportunities.

Most importantly, we believe education works best when schools and families work together. The partnership between our dedicated staff and engaged families is the foundation of our success and one of the things that makes IDVA such a special place to learn.
