We can’t wait to start learning with you! Follow the steps below to enroll.
Please review the school start schedule for upcoming approval and school start dates:
Spring 2025
- Enroll your K–8 grade student by April 30 for our last available cohort for the 2024-2025 school year. Orientation will be held May 5-7. Classes start May 12.
Summer 2025
- Enroll your 9-12 grade student by May 28 for our credit recovery summer school. Orientation will be held June 2-4. Classes start June 9.
Fall 2025
- Enroll your K-12 grade student for our 2025-2026 school year. Classes start August 18.

Five Simple Steps to Enroll
Step 1
Create Enrollment Account
The K12 Enrollment Portal provides access to your online application to IDVA, along with real-time alerts and quick links to important info.
Step 2
Submit an Application
Once you’ve begun an application in the K12 Enrollment Portal, click the option to add a new student or continue with your application. Simply fill in the fields with your child’s information, select IDVA, and hit Submit.
Step 3
Upload Additional Documents
In this step, you’ll provide more detailed information about your child and upload additional documents, such as proof of residency and a birth certificate. For a list of specific documents that will be required, contact our enrollment consultants at 866.339.9065.
Step 4
Attend Enrollment Webinar
All families participate in a pre-recorded webinar with an enrollment consultant. Additional documents may be required to complete your enrollment, depending on your student’s situation, and will be provided within your Enrollment Portal.
Step 5
Welcome to Idaho Virtual Academy!
After successfully completing the enrollment process, your student will be approved. Please check your email for important information regarding your student’s status and how to access the Online School platform.

Eligibility Requirements
Program Eligibility
Your kindergartner must be 5 years old by September 1 of the upcoming school year to enroll.
Proof of Residency
While attending IDVA you must maintain full-time, Idaho residency.
IDVA Orientation
Students and Learning Coaches must complete assigned tasks to start school. IDVA will contact your family by email and phone prior to your student’s assigned first day to explain orientation expectations.
