Scholarship Overview
- IDVA/ISID Scholarships are open to all students graduating in the 2025–2026 school year.
- IDVA/ISID encourages students to apply for all the scholarships for which they qualify.
- Only one IDVA/ISID scholarship will be awarded to an individual student.
- IDVA/ISID scholarships can be used at any institution, in any state, not just Idaho!
- Scholarship recipients will be announced during the graduation ceremonies.
Scholarship Application Process
- Video Instructions here. You will download and submit the application through your online school/Canvas. Go to Dashboard>Support-Mecham>Assignments.
- Scholarship submission deadline is March 1, 2026. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

IDVA/ISID High Academic Achievement Scholarship
One scholarship of $2,500
- GPA 3.5 or higher
- ACT score of 25 or higher, or SAT score of 1200 or higher, OR completed 15 college credits
- Create an Academic Résumé
- Attended IDVA/ISID for 4 years or more
IDVA/ISID Academic Excellence Scholarship
Scholarship(s) of $2,100
- GPA 3.0 or higher
- ACT score of 20 or higher, or SAT score of 1000 or higher, OR completed 9 college credits
- Create an Academic Résumé
- Attended IDVA/ISID for 3 or more years
IDVA/ISID Excellence in Online Learning Scholarship
Scholarship(s) of $1,300
- GPA 2.8 or higher
- Attended IDVA/ISID for 2 or more years
- Recognizing outstanding students who have embraced online learning and made the most of their virtual education.
IDVA/ISID Odyssey Scholarship
Scholarship(s) of $1,200
- GPA 2.5 or higher
- Attended IDVA/ISID for 2 or more years
- The ideal applicant is ready to make a difference.
IDVA/ISID First Generation Scholarship
Scholarship(s) of $1,100
- First-generation college student (neither parent has earned a 4-year degree)
IDVA/ISID Schweitzer Engineering Scholarship
Scholarship of $500
- Attended IDVA/ISID for 2 or more years
- 3.0 or higher GPA
- Completed Pre-Calc or Calculus
- One or more dual enrollment Science credits
Insight School of Idaho Scholarship
Scholarship(s) of $1,100
- Must be a student of Insight School of Idaho (ISID)
- Demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles to achieve academic goals
IDVA/ISID Career Technical Scholarship
Scholarship(s) of $1,000
- Acceptance into a career or technical program
Idaho Scholarships & Resources
Scholarship Idaho
Scholarship Idaho is a single, common application for 8 state-managed scholarships.1 Eligibility is determined in real-time and backed by school-reported data.
To start their application(s), students will need:
- Social Security Number (SSN)
- Personal Email Address
- Do not use your IDVA student email address.
- Scholarship notifications will be sent to the inbox provided; your address will NOT be used for any other purposes.
- EDUID
- This is a unique state identification number assigned to each student.
NOTE: Due to conflicting eligibility requirements, no student can qualify for ALL scholarships at once.
1The scholarships on Scholarship Idaho are administered by the Office of the Idaho State Board of Education (OSBE) with funding from a variety of sources.

Governor’s Cup Scholarship
- Merit-based scholarship requiring community service
- Minimum 2.8 GPA
- Deadline is 3/1 for Academic, 4/15 for Career Technical

Idaho Opportunity Scholarship
- Need-based scholarship: Must apply for FAFSA and show proof of financial need
- Minimum 2.7 GPA
- Deadline is 3/1

Idaho Community Foundation
- ICF manages more than 70 different scholarship funds—each customized according to the desires of the fund creator. Each has its own eligibility criteria, application requirements, and review process.

- Look for scholarships on your college’s financial aid page. Apply by the institution’s deadline.
- Apply for scholarships offered by the State of Idaho, State Board of Education

- Check the Idaho Community Foundation – It offers more than 60 scholarships, each with its own criteria and application process
- If you are going out of state, apply for the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE)
- Use scholarship search engines to help you find national scholarships. See list above.
- Try Study Soup. Most scholarships listed here take approximately 10 minutes to complete! Study Soup
- Ask your parents or grandparents if they are members of Rotary, Lions Club, or Kiwanis. These clubs often offer scholarships for members’ children.
- Do you have a job? Ask your employer if the company offers a scholarship.
- Check the list of scholarships on IDVA’s College and Career site.
- Keep track of scholarships you have identified, application deadlines, and contact information. Here is a handy tracking sheet to download and use, or you can make your own!
- Be aware of scholarship scams. You should not be charged a fee for a scholarship. Also, watch for wording such as finalist letter or scholarship guarantee.
