Online School Enrollment and Attendance FAQ’s

IDVA offers enrollment for grades K–12 for Idaho residents.

Full-time enrolled students will have priority at IDVA. Students can dual enroll according to Idaho law if they complete the required paperwork, which can be requested through IDVA. Both schools involved in dual enrollment must approve the paperwork. IDVA’s dual enrollment policy is established yearly by the board of directors. Because IDVA provides the lesson plans and materials needed for grades K–12, many parents find it easy to enroll multiple children in the program.

Because IDVA is a public school program, there is no tuition. IDVA provides students all instructional materials for the program. Families are responsible for providing some common household materials (such as printer ink and paper).

As Idaho public school students, all IDVA students must comply with the state-required minimum number of instructional days.

Yes. IDVA offers alternate paths toward graduation for qualifying students. Students who are 16 years or older and who have a 3.5 GPA or higher may qualify for a flexible schedule and/or early graduation.

The school calendar includes school holidays or vacation time. Whenever possible, family vacations should align with school vacation days. Parents are encouraged to contact their student’s teacher if they plan a vacation that does not coordinate with the school calendar.
