What is Stride Career Prep at IDVA?
Are you an 8th–12th grader looking to get a jump-start on your future? With Stride Career Prep, you can use your middle and high school years to figure out where you want to go and how to get there. In addition to core courses, you'll take career-focused electives to explore your options and find your passion—all while earning your high school diploma. Discovering what you want to do now can prepare you to dive into a career right out of high school or help you make the right decision about your college major.

Students can search and filter hundreds of internship listings to find on-the-job learning experiences they can complete before graduation. A perfect complement to a Stride Career Prep education, a high school internship is another great way to get ahead on future goals. We also offer tips and advice about building a résumé, honing interview skills, and keeping motivated on the job. Internship listings are updated daily, so be sure to check back often.
